         Two healthy recipes which can help to bring down bad cholesterol are avocado tomato salad and tofu and vegetable stir fry. For making avocado tomato salad you need avocados, olive oil and walnuts, all these contain heart-healthy mono-unsaturated fats that help fight bad cholesterol. 1 avocado, cut into tubes; 2 tomatoes, cut into wedges; ¼ red onions, thinly sliced and a handful of walnuts should be mixes together in a bowl. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper to taste and ½ teaspoon of chopped oregano. Then you need to put avocado, tomatoes, onions and walnuts into a big bowl add dressing and toss well.

For making tofu and vegetable stir-fry you will need antioxidant-rich vegetables which are full of fiber. Fiber helps to eliminate cholesterol from the body. Soy-based tofu also helps to lower cholesterol levels and it can be used as a substitute for protein. You will need 5 stalks of bok choy, cut lengthwise; 1 red pepper, sliced; 1 carrot, sliced; 1 slab of firm tofu, cut into cubes; 3 cloves of garlic, chopped; 1 tablespoon of vegetarian oyster sauce; salt and pepper. You need to coat wok with sesame oil, add chopped garlic and saute until light brown, add tofu and vegetables, followed by oyster sauce and sauté 3 to 5 minutes. Then you need to add salt and pepper to taste, and remove from wok to prevent overcooking.
